Horticulture Students Join Community Shape Up Event

On Saturday 6th March, students and staff from the Horticulture department at the Eccles Centre took part in a Shape Up event at Fit City, Eccles.

The event was put on to promote healthy living in the community and the students were invited along to demonstrate how to plant and pot your own herbs and salal leaves, to grow in the garden.

Many children and parents got involved in the demonstrations and the event was also attended by the Mayor of Salford.
