Former Eccles Student Reaches For The Stars

Former Eccles College student Alexander Stewart is currently looking for support for his upcoming television appearance on ITV1's 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show'.

Alexander studied A-Levels in Drama, Film and French whilst at the college and left in 2006 to pursue a career in music. After becoming interested in music through the college's enrichment programme, the former Walkden High School student developed his skills in the field of music and is now a professional singer/songwriter.

Currently, Alexander is in the final to win a recording contract with Decca records (part of the Universal Music Group), in a competition run by ITV1's 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show'. After getting through the initial stage, he now has to compete against three other singers in a final, broadcast live on Monday 8th March at 5pm.

The competition will be determined by public vote and Alexander is currently rounding up support and asking everyone to tune in to the show on Monday and give him a vote, after his performance of "You Make Me Feel So Young".
