Eccles Centre Coach Shares Good Volleyball Practice

On Wednesday 13th January, PE teachers from local Salford schools were invited to a volleyball coaching session by Richard Lee, the coach of the Eccles Centre volleyball team.

Nine teachers from six schools in the local area were taught basic drills and coaching points to assist in their volleyball classes at school. Some students from the successful Eccles Centre volleyball team also attended to assist in the session.

The Further Education Sports Coordinator at the Eccles Centre will also be providing specialist equipment to the successful clubs in the schools and it is hoped that further schemes in the sport can be set up, with the help of the sports department at Eccles.

This coaching session was part of the strong links already in place between Salford City College and local schools in Salford and was a great chance for teachers in the area to share excellent practice.
