Travel And Tourism Students Make A Flying Visit To Concorde

A group of Travel and Tourism students from the Eccles Centre recently took a trip to Manchester Airport. The purpose of the visit was for 2nd students to look at the day to day operations at an international airport and also to investigate the health and safety procedures that are carried out at Manchester.

The students were given a talk at the aviation viewing park. This was followed by a tour around terminal one, where they got a behind the scenes look at the day to day operations and procedures at the airport.

The students were also given the opportunity to see Concorde, which was withdrawn from service in 2003 and is now on display in a specially designed hangar at the airport.
