Healthy Life Week At Salford City College
05 November 2009
Students and staff across all centres at Salford City College will participate in Healthy Life Week, from 9th-13th November. The event involves a vast array of activities, guest visits and fundraising events, all under the theme of what makes a healthy life.
Events taking place include complementary therapy sessions and army assault courses, there will be visits from local public sector services, including the police and the fire service and there will also be lots of fundraising activities taking place. The British Red Cross and St. Anns Hospice are just two charities which will have stalls set-up across the college, during the week, and students and staff will be raising money at lunch-time karaoke sessions.
The event is set-up to promote everyone living a healthy life and will also touch on more serious matters, such as alcohol misuse, sexual health and healthy eating.
Photographs will be taken throughout the week and will be available to view on the individual centres’ websites.
