Horticulture Students Work With Local Schools
02 July 2010
As part of a gardening competition run by the local Round Table charity, local school students have been busy working on their gardening skills to create the best vegetable garden in the area.
As part of the competition, two local primary schools visited the Eccles Sixth Form Centre, along with students from Harrop Fold High School in Little Hulton, on Thursday 1st July, to get some further practice.
Horticulture students at the Eccles Sixth Form Centre demonstrated egg box planting and how to grow plants in such a way.
All the students who visited had great fun and were able to take away the plants they had worked with during the day.
