Catering Award Winners

The college promotes healthy food throughout our Catering Departments across all centres and vegetarian options are on all the menus. To celebrate National Vegetarian week all our students at our Pendleton Centre were invited to a Vegetarian BBQ & Disco. The sun was shining and the students and staff had a great time. It was a great opportunity to raise awareness of being a vegetarian as well as having some fun.

Michaela Booth, Catering Manager at Pendleton Centre said "the catering team are thrilled to receive such a great award. I would like to thank Couldron for the opportunity to enter the competition".

The college will receive the award at Couldren's Annual General Meeting in London in September. Couldron said, "We’ve chosen Salford City College as the winner of our Cauldron Local Hero Award in the category of Best School. The awards are to thank and highlight those that made a fantastic effort to celebrate the week and promote vegetarianism with their event and we think you definitely fit that description. From the photos you sent it looked like everyone had a great time, and the range of BBQ veggie food on offer was fantastic".
